Udupi : The closing ceremony of the National Youth Athletic Championship organized by the Athletic Federation of India, Karnataka State Athletic Association and Udupi District Amateur Athletic Association was held today at the Mahatma Gandhi District Stadium, Ajjarakadu.
Haryana state won the overall title of the championship. While Haryana won the state champion title in the women’s category, Uttar Pradesh emerged as the state champion in the men’s category.

T. Mahadeva, Nitte Engineering College Principal Niranjan Chiplunkar, Manipal HRP Group Chairman Hariprasad Rai, District Amateur Athletic Association President Kempraj, Secretary Rajavelu, Dinesh Kumar, Treasurers Deepak Ram Bayari, Sports Department Assistant Director Roshan Shetty were present. Ramachandra Patkar welcomed and Satishchandra Shetty narrated.
