Udupi : MLA K Raghupathi Bhat said that the Muslim rulers did not give any space to Krishna Math or Ananteshwar.He hit back at Congress leader Mithun Rai’s statement that Muslim rulers gave land to Krishna Math.There is a reference that Haji Abdullah Saheb helped the Krishna Math as a devotee. ButI don’t know which Muslim king Mithun Rai is talking about. Madhwacharya established Krishna Math 850 years ago. Mithun Rai asked them to think about the situation in Ayodhya.
There is a reference about Rambhoja giving land to Ananteshwar Temple. Later that land was used for Krishna Math. Krishna Math was built after Ananteshwar Temple. It is said that the existing Jamia Masjid was also on the site of Jangmara Mutt.
