Udupi : Auto drivers plying within Udupi city staged a protest in Ajjarkad of the city demanding to solve their problems and warned of election boycott.

As a rule, autos plying in the city are allowed to be rented at the auto station on a rotation basis. But in some auto stations this is not allowed. The auto drivers alleged that if they mentioned this to the legislators, they would form their own association and oppress other auto drivers.
While other organizations are blocking the movement of authorized autos in the city, the RTO is issuing new auto permits. Autos from rural areas are also plying in the city. Bank employees and government employees are also buying new autos and driving around the city. This has created a lot of problems for those who rely on auto rickshaws for their lives. Udupi MLAs should correct this. Otherwise, this time they are going to teach a proper lesson in the elections, he expressed outrage.
