Udupi: Welfare Party Udupi district president Abdul Aziz Udyavara has demanded that the state government should immediately withdraw the resolution that canceled the reservation given to the minority Muslim community.
Announcing this, he said that by taking away the 4% reservation for Muslims under category 2B and allocating it to another community, it has sowed the seeds of hatred between communities and started voting. This decision of the government is unconstitutional and it is another anti-Muslim policy of the said government. This is part of BJP’s continuous politics of hatred, its narrow communal stance in the name of Hindutva and its attempt to deceive the people..
Such anti-people rants are capital for the BJP, which is in power but has not done any work as claimed in the next election.
The government, which should have followed the basic wishes of the constitution and encouraged the minorities and weaker sections, has stooped to the level of taking away the rights of the minority Muslim community for selfish reasons, which is a step towards the downfall of the country. The surprising thing is that all the commissions appointed by the government to study the social conditions of Muslims have found Muslims among the socially backward classes. But this government is saying that Muslims will be included in 10% reservation for upper castes, this is nothing but fraud? This is a misleading strategy. Even if granted, the privilege of fighting among the politically and socially influential communities there is nothing short of a mirage. Basavaraja Bommai is acting like the chief minister of a certain class or non-constitutional powers instead of running the government as the chief minister of six crore Kannadigas for the benefit of all communities. Don’t do woo politics for ‘vote bank’. Abdul Aziz Udyavara demanded that 2B reservation for Muslims should be continued..
