As worms appear in children between the ages of 1 and 19 years, symptoms such as stomach ache, diarrhoea, loss of appetite and fatigue are seen in those children. Due to this, anemia, lack of nutrition occurs in them and physical and intellectual development may be affected. Albendazole tablets kill these parasites.
In this program tablets are given to Government, aided, private school, Anganwadi, Residential School, ITI, Nursing College, 1st year degree college students, 1st year Engineering College students in respective schools/colleges. Tablets are being distributed to Anganwadi children and out-of-school children under 19 years of age in Anganwadis.
Lack of hygiene and lack of personal cleanliness and contact with infested soil can spread the parasite, to avoid this, keep the nails short and clean. Washing hands with soap before eating/snacking and after using toilet. Drinking only purified water. It is important to wash fruits, vegetables and fruits with clean water before using them and keep the surrounding environment clean.
