Kapu : An ambulance collided with a bike and a bike rider died today at Kapu on National Highway 66.
The deceased has been identified as Ritesh Devadiga, a resident of Uchila. He was moving from Uchila towards Udupi on his bike. An ambulance traveling from Udupi to Mangalore collided while approaching Kapu, as a result of which Ritesh fell on the road along with his bike and was seriously injured. He was immediately taken to Manipal KMC Hospital. But it is known that he breathed his last after the treatment failed.
