Udupi : A program of handing over the seized gold ornaments and property to the respective heirs in various police station limits of Udupi district was held today at the police parade ground in Udupi.
District Superintendent of Police Haque Akshay Machindra handed over the property to the heirs.
One case each from Karkala rural police station, Hiriyadka, Byndur, Kollur, Kapu police station, 2 cases each from Kota, Malpe, police station, Udupi Nagar 3, Kundapur 5, Padubidri 4, Kundapur rural 4, Brahmavar 5 and 10 cases from Manipal police station in a total of 40 cases. A total of seized assets worth Rs 74,52,170 were handed over.ASP ST. Siddalingappa, Udupi DySP Dinakara PK, Kundapur DySP K.U. Beliyappa, Karkala DySP Aravinda was present.
