Parkala: The annual Jatra Mahotsava of the Parkala Mahalingeshwar Temple was held with great pomp.
After offering special pooja to the deity, the deity was brought in a palanquin and enshrined in a chariot. Later there was a chariot festival. Devotees pulled the chariot and celebrated. Hundreds of people came to the temple and had darshan of God.
