A woman who had come to commit suicide rescued

Udupi: The incident took place today, where a woman who had come to commit suicide was rescued by railway police and Udupi district civic committee’s Nithyananda olakaadu at Indrali railway station.
Later, the woman was resettled at the New Light Ashram in Bailur. The rescued woman has been identified as 32-year-old Savita, a resident of Gedlahalli.

Relatives are advised to contact Hosabelaku Ashram, Karkala Bailur. Inspector PV Madhusudan, Constable Jeena Pinto, Ashram Manager Tanula Tarun were involved in the operation.The rescued woman claimed that she was mentally disturbed and had come to commit suicide due to family problems faced in her life. The matter came to light when the on-duty police inquired about the woman’s behavior at the railway station.
